I had to go on a field trip with my son today... Okay I didn't HAVE to. I am one of those over protective moms who HAS to go :) It was pretty fun. We went to learn about how Pioneers lived. I will tell you this much. I would not have lasted a week lol Well, I guess if I was raised that way I would have. Holy cow, now those woman rocked!
Did you know that if you had 6 kids they all took a bath in the same big bin of water! I sure would have wanted to be the first one! One kid would go to the river, get a pot of water, heat it on the fire, dump it in the bin, go get another and on and on until it was full! Wow....
Did you know they slept across rope on a duvet type thing stuffed with leaves? pine needles etc... This probably explains why they had so many kids... "Honey I can't sleep... Wanna?"
SO on that note, today when your taking your warm bath/shower, loading the washing machine, loading the dishwasher, sleeping in your fluffy bed and turning on your heat.. Take a second to think about how those real woman did it :)
