I am new here and not sure what to do; but to everyone in Ohio Circuit City is having a liquidation sell. Just in time for christmas. I hate to see them go though I love that store.

I went yesterday. Most everything was 30% off. Video games were 15% off but honestly there was nothing worth breaking your neck over. The sales for Black Friday should be better than their going out of business sales.

Here is a list of the stores that are closing by December 31. Circuit City filed bankruptcy on Nov 10th so any gift cards you have are worthless - even at non-closing stores.

Are you kidding about the Giftcards? That is just WRONG!

That is one of the many things that stores are able to get rid of when they file bankruptcy. It is considered an unsecured debt and thus cardholders have no recourse. Besides, with as much $ as they owe HP, Samsung, etc., we'd never see even a few pennies even if we were able to file claims.
