My Biggest Contest Win

... It was a number of years ago soon after I started getting interested in contests... and I thought it was a joke in the email announcement but then I got an affidavit. :penguinkiss: It was a $1,000 online shopping spree and there were a lovely bunch of stores from which to shop.

*I* was one of the lucky ones. Other winners decided to go slowly and take their time choosing but in a couple of weeks, the place went bankrupt. I got all but a little bit spent, but those others got nothing. :sm1:

I got a diamond & sapphire bracelet, a digital camera, small stereo system, toys for my daughter, and a few other things before they "went away."

The lesson in this... if you win a shopping spree, HURRY to spend it before they change their mind or disappear!

Thanks, everyone. :sf3: I was so amazed when the first item actually arrived. I think I was still waiting for the "punchline" to find out it wasn't *really* a sweeps win after all. hehe But it was.

Sure seemed easier to win stuff back then (6 or 7 years ago). Now all I seem to get is a mailbox full (horribly shockingly full) of spam when I enter contests. Yes, I have a mailbox just for that, but I still need to wade through the trash to make sure there's not a win sticking in there. There never is anymore. :sf1:

I really feel you were lucky katharina.....I once won a diamond pendant from an airline but they never gave it to me as I could not give them the boarding pass of my journey...:sf2:
