I hit it big, in my opinion, today. In the P&G insert this week, I had a coupon for $1.50 off any Crest toothpaste. Coincidentally while we were at Shaw's today, my husband said, I want some new toothpaste, I like Crest better than what we have.
So, I checked and pulled out my coupon. The Crest was at $2.99 and with $1.50 off, that was $1.49, so we were game.
Then when we got home, and I was checking the receipt into my Excel sheets, I was amazed to find that there was another $2 off coupon for that toothpaste. Apparently there was one on the box that the cashier noticed, but we did not. So, instead of paying $1.49 for the Crest, we were actually given $0.51 towards the rest of our purchase.
That's right, they paid us to take the toothpaste (with a trial size of the same Crest mouthwash my husband likes). Cha-ching. :yipi:
For a beginning couponer, this is a big steal.
