Frugal Freebies

I am in Canada, so this may not affect the rest of you yet - but I imagine eventually all the stores will feel the same? My local store, Loblaws, says no more printed coupons. This is unfair- I went to a manufacturer's site, did their survey, and received a legitimate coupon for a free product, in thanks. That I cannot use.
This leaves a bad taste in the consumer's mouth - and who gets the grief? The local stores, the checkout people. Customers come in wanting to use their coupons and are denied. I am going to write to the company that I got the coupon from, but there are so many companies trying to save money & shipping costs by having customers print their own coupons - but if they can't use them, it's a waste of time. And bad business...
Anyone else get denied their printed coupons?
