Thought I'd start a thread and have everyone say/show how they organize their coupons. We'll probably get some great ideas from how other people do it!

Would love to see pics! I'll start :)

My hubby bought me the coupon box from eBay last year for Mother's Day...I think it cost about $20.00, well worth it IMO!!

Even though the coupon box is a little bulky, I LOVE it. There are 80 categories to group coupons in. And it fits perfectly into the seat of the shopping cart. As you can tell I redid the spreadsheet and customized the categories to fit my shopping habits (ex. I scratched out cookies and subbed CVS for my CVS coupons/ECBs). I also added my own tabs, I felt that it was too hard to look through coupons without them.

Organize?!? Don't make me laugh!

I keep my inserts intact and file in hanging folders by week.

My loose coupons I keep in a container like this:
http://www.joann.com/joann/catalog.jsp?CATID=cat323857&PRODID=prd31623

all my tearpads, peelies and blinkies go in there and I do it alphabetically.

Then I have 2 coupon files that I carry in my purse (OK, Coach has decided it is a diaper bag but I digress!)

The first one is by category (dairy, breakfast, beverages etc.)

The second one is by store. I will take CVS coupons and put them in the CVS section. I also keep my ECB cards clipped to my ECB coupons and ECB's. But if something is going to be on sale next week I will just file the coupons in there. Also if I read about something being on clearance I will stick the coupons in.

I think it is just a trial and error thing to find out what works for you.

I too have my "loose" coupons in a plastic storage case, when I get an insert in the mail or any coupons throughout the week I put them in there until Sunday rolls around, then I clip and file!

I am so excited to share this. My church has two great ladies who shared couponing with us. We all bought the big 3 ring binders then go to Wal-Mart or wherever and get baseball card inserts they are plastic pocket sleves, then a pack of tabs it has worked out great for us and i hope this helps someone. I dont have picture but i did scrapbook my frount page its really cute.:mdr:

I know this will seem huge and bulky to some, but I'm like MJ. I keep my inserts intact (no cutting each weekend...YEAH!) and I label them; then I use a rolling cart like this one to keep them stored in:

http://www.michaels.com/art/online/displayProductPage?productNum=sb0799&channelid=

A friend of mine keeps a list of current coupons that are available, and we just take the list to the store. Once we're done picking out what we need, we go sit down up front, or wherever the nearest seats are, roll the cart in, and cut what we need right in the store. This gives us our conversation time but saves us from having to cut and file each week. When you open up the rolling cart, there's a clear pocket with velcro on it which I use for rainchecks. Then there's larger pockets on each side with more clear pockets (which also have velco) that we keep tearpads, blinkies, etc. separated in . Works great for us!

I get coupons by cutting them out of the newspaper, printing them off of an online coupons website, and some stores have their own coupons that I use.

I do search online for keyword "coupons" or "store coupons", use either Google, Yahoo or Cool Cuil search engine.

I do search online for keyword "grocery coupons" or "grocery store coupons" Use either Google, Yahoo or Cool Cuil search engine.

WOW some fantastic ideas on how to store coupons.

I'm in need of something different. I'm using a plastic coupon binder now. It is stuffed full and its more of a pain then helpful.

I shop Meijer's. Thats about the only store I use coupons at unless another one doubles coupons that week or superdoubles them. I don't buy nothing with out a coupon or at least I try very hard not to.

I organize my coupons every sunday I try not to let them lay around or I tend to forget I have them and thats like throwing money away.

I organize my folder to the isle in the store.

Pet
bath and body
cleaning
dairy
so on and so on.

How I get my coupons !!

Sunday inserts
have family and friends save them for me
in store blinkies
most doctors offices have coupons at the counter.
other couponers leave them laying on products
email my favorite companys most will send coupons by U.S mail
always check packages and boxes
magazines
I know a few people who deliver the paper and they save me a few inserts.
some stores will sale the sunday paper 1/2 off on monday.
check out coupon printers ( I get very good ones from this ) $4 or $5 off next order. I see these alot.

Some good deals I got lately:

Glade air freshner, .75 cents, after coupon. $1 off 2 , i paid 50 cents for 2
secret deodorant, $1.64 after coupon .64 cents
crest toothpast, $2.50 after coupon .50 cents
international delights. $1.65 after coupon .65 cents
glade candle $3.00 after coupon .19 cents just had to pay tax
nestle cookie dough, $1.50 after coupon .50 cents
chef micheals bag of dog food, $4.00 after coupon $1.00
A-1 steak sauce, $2.50 a bottle, after coupon .50 cents
9 lives cat food, $9.00 a bag , after store coupon of $5 off next order and $2 off coupon i Paid only $2.00

So it does pay for me to use coupons. It maybe a second job but its well worth the effort I put into it. And the coupons I use are for stuff I need and buy anyways.
