I'm asking this in a variety of places to see if I can get a consensus opinion, or find anyone who's actually heard an official answer somewhere.

Okay, biggs this week has Powerade buy 10 get 5 free, $1 each. I have coupons for Buy 10 get 5 free. My natural use of them when I see this sale is to get 20--pay $10 ac. (This is a sale I've seen at two other stores this year.)

But here's what I'm wondering. The 5 biggs gives me is still technically a purchase (which is why we can use 2 q's on a BOGO sale--the free item is still a legal purchase), so can I get 15 and use the coupon too? So I'd be paying $5 for 15 of them? There are no special restrictions on the q's except to get the 32 oz, which is what the sale is on.

We go through a lot of Powerade here. Two in soccer, and my son mixes his vitamin therapy for his Asperger's into Powerade to drink daily. We're just now finishing our stockpile from last year's freebies (and oh, what a freebie sale it was at Meijer last year when combined with Vitamin Water q's, get 5 Powerades free and $4 OYNO cats on the free powerades!) and are needing to restock. .33 each is not a bad price, if this will work. I've ordered $5/15 powerade q's from ebay, so I can already get them down to that price....but I could double my runs if I can do it with the other q as well.

But even more I'm intrigued by this idea. I do see deals like this from time to time, and am always looking for the maximum combination of deals for least out of pocket. But yet, I teach thousands on my site every day and through my classes, so I don't want to be going over the line. I have the feeling this is okay....in fact, I'm pretty sure it is. But I just want to double check my instinct!

I would try it - the worst they can say is no - nothing ventured, nothing gained! Do one transaction with just the 15 bottles, use your coupon and see what happens. If it works, that great, take them to the car and go back in and repeat. If it doesn't, you're still going to get a decent deal. That's jusy my 2¢ worth!

Thanks. I think it should--I'm not using too many coupons. I know the q beeps no matter what you do--and only takes off one bottle, so the cashier has to intervene. That's why i wanted to ask. The mgr and I have a good relationship, so I think she'd approve it. I helped her run down some couponers who were super stacking and doing some very odd rebate things and costing her store thousands in unredeemable coupons.

I would give it a try also!
