I was hit with the fact I had to purchase a TI-83 for my daughters 9th grade math class this year...over $100. This is how I got it somewhat affordable. I called around and the cheapest place was staples. they are $99.89. there also is an easy rebate for a $10 visa gift card. Calculators are also on the tax free weekend so you save 8 1/4% there. I printed the office depot coupon I found at http://f.chtah.com/i/48/1237020949/20090811D26_11375247.pdf. I had to throw on a small item to get to $100.

So my $119 full price caluclator +tax = 128.82 came out like this:

$99.89 (sale price) + .54item = 100.43 less $20 printable (because they take competitor coupons) less $10 gift card = 70.43 and no tax.

70.43 is 45% off the regular price with tax. Not to bad considering it is not groceries.

Just fyi incase you need one. The coupon expires today but I am sure there will be another. The sale probably ends today too.
