I think I went a little overboard on the Giant Eagle cereal/gas perks Promo

Ended up with

124 Boxes of Cereal
$6.20 off a gallon on gas (You can of course only use up to the amount of gas at a time)
Spent less than $10

OMG ~ I am in awe!!!

You could probably get most of your OOP cost just by selling the BTFE on eBay!!!

My kids are going to wish they were your kids ~ DH won't let me buy any "fun" cereal. Of what you got I am "allowed" to buy Cheerios, Crispix, Rice Krispies, Kix, Curves, HBoO.

But that is truly amazing! $10 divided by 124 boxes + $.08 a box!!!:surprised:

Thanks Michelle... It is tough starting out but stick around we will teach you ;)

MJ, $.08 a box but don't forget the gas rewards too!

AHH see, learn something new everyday! Yes, a lot of it will go to the yard sale... I should organize all the crap I have been getting and post a picture. Since DH is off he wants to go 3 and 4 times a flippin week! I have a ton of crap to put away!

Thanks for the refresher - couldn't remember where I had gotten it. I can see the scene in my head, but can't pick out which one said it. Now I'm going to have to watch the movie again!

Don't be so hard on yourself. I have been doing this for almost 5 years (scratches head... I think? lol) and I started out exactly where you are. It takes a little time to get used to it. Eventually it just becomes second nature and your a complete natural ;)

Wowsers! That is a lot! Good work. I miss my stockpiling days.......rows and rows of shampoo, soap, dish soap, air freshners......I thought I had enough toothpaste at one time to last a lifetime! LOL I've gone through it all and need to work on getting it back. I keep saying that but someone give me a kick in the butt....

I am with you on this Trish. I need the motivation. With just moving and the winter coming up plus my general financial market stockpile freakiness I need the push too. My cupboards are pretty darn bare.

Mine are pretty bare too - guess that's why we are all here and working on creating our own little support group.

Well since today was day one of the yard sale, mine are pretty empty now to! It's all on tables in the garage.

Stockpiling is a great idea BUT....where do you store it all? I have a small kitchen with a 4 shelf cupboard on my back porch where I keep my bigger appliances and excess plastic-ware.....Do you have an extra garage or something?

Toni-Lynn

Actually I have been blessed with a basement. I just moved last November into a house that was more than twice the size of my last place so I have more than enough room now. If you have a small space it's kinda hard I would think BUT I have read that a lot of people use totes of all sizes, closets that they figured out how to reorganize to fit in. Does one person really need 100+ boxes of cereal? Read HERE (http://thecouponcupboard.com/showthread.php?p=2059#post2059) for my take on that....

Wow, I am in awe over this really. I use Price Chopper here in Mass and they have a rewards program. I ended up with about $2.10 off the gas price, which at the time was over $3/gal.

Unfortunately, the gas points I *thought* didn't run out ran out on the 31st... yesterday :sf1: and I didn't use them. My brother, however, got a huge vehicle filled for *5 cents* a gallon after storing up his points for a while. I'll need to watch that more closely in the future!
