Looking for a new look that won't break the bank? Want to be more fashionable without a lot of fuss? A few simple additions to your current wardrobe can make a huge difference.
Seasoned fashion pros offer this common sense advice:

Find the look that works for you and stick with it.That means don't buy into every fashion trend that comes along. Chances are, many of them won't be right for your look anyway.

When you shop, look for wardrobe essentials that will mix with and match what you already have. That doesn't mean everything has to be the same color, but stick to a particular palette.

Quality trumps quantity. Buy a few great classic separates whenever you can rather than a lot of trendy outfits. Good-quality clothes will last you years instead of one season.

Finally, to give your wardrobe an updated look, it's all about the accessories. Invest in a few trendy accessories for a season and then put them away until the next time they come back into style!

Trend watchers say the new looks for fall include lots of tailored jackets (including military jackets with lots of buttons), chunky sweaters and big belts. Purple, florals and animal prints are in again. And dresses, pumps and the boho (bohemian) or hippie look are making a big comeback.
With that in mind, why not buy a pretty floral print scarf? Wear it around your neck or use it as a belt. If you're a little more daring, consider an animal print belt or purse. If you want to try a little boho chic, do some fun layering with clothes you already own, and add a funky necklace and bangles.Hopefully you saved your chunky sweaters and pumps from the last time they were in style -- just a few years ago.
Because fashion trends recycle so quickly, you might find quality, classic outfits for less at a resale or consignment shop. Or look in your friends' closet. Really! A fashion swap with your friends might be the perfect solution for recycling usable items that you've grown tired of.

Question:
How do you keep your wardrobe updated on a budget?
