I guess after last weeks fantastic cereal escapade (click here to read (http://thecouponcupboard.com/showthread.php?t=384)), the GE gods have once again been watching out for me. Today's shopping spree was nothing out of the ordinary for me, or so I thought!

2 carts full of groceries and tons of coupons, 216 items, Profit $2.82. What the heck you say? Well lets begin.....

Since GE started limiting 4 like for Super Doubles, my husband began tagging along to run through another order to make the trip more beneficial. I load all my order onto the belt and put my stack of coupons at the front. As she grabs for them she knocks the entire stack down and a bunch fall between the register and the bag packing part. OMG I about had a heart attack! Long story short, after several attempts they could not retrieve them. The cashier kept insisting that it was only 1 or 2 coupons. That the others had been down there from previous people. :slap: I know what I had!

The head cashier offers me a $10 GC to cover the lost coupons. I said okay thanks and continued on.... As I stood there and thought about it, I knew darn well that $10 was not going to cover what I dropped. SO, since I had 2 identical orders, I told the head cashier I would take my husbands stack of coupons and use them on order #1 this way I could tell by the cost of order #2 how much I had lost. It took her a minute to have any clue what I meant but I think she caught on. :sarcastic:

So both orders and coupons rang through.

Order #1 was
Spent $10.65
Saved $179.75
108 Items
96%

Order #2 was
Spent $25.53
Saved $166.75
109 Items (got a 20oz pop)
88%

It does not take a genious to figure out that I lost more than 1 or 2 coupons down that slot. So at this point I am due $14.88 - $1.39 for the pop = $13.49. Now she was already giving me a $10 gift card and then gave me another $5 one on top of that to cover the additional $3.49.

Now if your following along, at this point my OOP minus the $15 in GC's is $21.18. So how did they give me $3 Profit for it all?

GE currently has a bunch of different Buy X and get X OYNSO. Some of them were no limit per transaction so after 2 orders I walked away with (8) $3 OYNSO catalinas courtesy of General Mills and Kellogg's. Are you still with me here?

$36.18 OOP
- $15.00 GC's
- $24 in Cats
------------------
= $2.82 Profit

Thank you Giant Eagle Gods!
