I get lots of these Zone, EAS, Advantage type Bars free all the time. My 6 year old LOVES them. No one else in the house really likes them but I wondered if it is okay to give him these??? I only give him one a day and he thinks it some kind of snack because most are chocolate covered but I thought it was benefitial to him. I assumed they are just protein/nutritional bars but would like th einput from someone who might actually eat them as part of their normal diet.

Thanks :)

My oldest has been eating them since he was about that age. Last year he had a Clif Bar everyday but he is 12. I would think it should be fine in moderation

In moderation is good, but make sure he gets plenty of excercise. The calorie content for what you get can be high unless there is a lot of protien in them. DD is not crazy about them unfortunately and there are only a few I actually like.

I tried to call you twice. It rang then went dead. Dunno if you were picking up and it was your phone or what.

Right now he is eating the EAS Advantage ones. "17g of Quality Protein" like 300 calories a bar! And you know that kid never sits put. Plus he goes back to school Wednesday so he will get plenty of exercise.

That is a good point. I don't ever think of that with the kids because my kids are skeleton skinny. I worry about not get enough calories in them, of course DS#1 eats so **** much that I have to shop at Costco (gasp) just for him. I think he has grown almost 6 inches this year so that is where it is all going~!

Issues with Sprint - working now.

I know I need to get more of the bars to take with us to DD's match this weekend. They are a great snack and she doesn't get the sugar high if I pick out the right ones.
