That's fine...when I finally get things to the point where I have 40 coupons, I will proudly request approval like a badge of honor...lol. Thanks for posting this. I have used coupons there but I didn't know their exact policy.

Hello,
Does Wal Mart still honor a competitor's lower price on an exact item?
Thanks,

As far as I know, yes, they still price match and welcome to TCC!

That is a very unusual situation and I am surprised that a manager would approve it. With as many hoops as they make us jump through normally, I find this hard to believe.

I could photograph my receipt and "prove" it to you. But I think you're being a bit harsh, thanks for that.
I am confused as to why Walmart would except them. Aren't they strickly Walgreens on them? I know years ago people use to try to use Safeway at Albertsons and so on and they were never accepted. If Walmart is going to start doing that I would love them to put out a policy on it so that we can all benefit from it
I had my stupid Walgreens cashier tell me that she could not take the catlina for the Robitusin deal and the $3 off $10 that I had.

I know some Albertsons take them, I've heard from other customers AND the response I got from my Albertsons was "We don't take them because Walgreens here isn't a competitor, others do because some Walgreens sell more food, or the Albertsons has a pharmacy, but we don't" So even the local Albertsons said some take them.
Someone who works at the Walmart Home Office responded to me elsewhere and said:
All in all, due to how the RR's are set-up (same as a vendor manf. Q's) and the redemption center is for the vendor, not Walgreens--it technically can be redeemed for credit.
I used all my RRs, so I can't take a picture or quote exactly the verbiage for you as to redemption and such.
I was so thrilled yesterday, and then the response from here makes me feel sick to my stomach like I did something wrong.
Here's a more detailed explanation of what happened:
My cashier at Walgreens today told me that she'd heard that their RRs could be used at Albertsons and Walmart.
I wanted to use my coupons that were about to expire at Walgreens, but my store has a VERY limited selection of food, so I couldn't. She suggested I try to use the RRs at Walmart.
So when I got to Walmart I went first thing to the gal sitting by the self-checkout and asked her about the RRs, she had a manager come up front, he read over the RR, agreed that they state "Manufacturer Coupon" on them and said they'd take them.
I asked if there was a way we could check, "in case they beep or something when I go to pay" and he said, "Even if they beep we'll take them"
Another employee had walked up and got all excited, saying she'd just gotten a bunch of RRs from Walgreens herself and they discussed using the RRs in conjunction with the employee discount.
They scanned the coupon at the front desk and it accepted it {not sure how that works with no items being purchased, but it was some sort of 'test' they ran to make me feel better}
I went around and did my shopping, pretty much only buying stuff I had coupons for, though I grabbed some items off the Bakery Clearance rack so I wouldn't run into the pesky "too many coupons for too few items" problem.
Subtotal was $143.69
after coupons it was $75.??
after RRs it was $4.99
The manager had walked by when I was mid-way through the transaction and stood there to help make sure it went smoothly. It did. Other employees were stopping to ask him something, an older employee argued with him about taking the RRs and he showed her all the language on them, told her they met all the requirements, and other employees were talking about using RRs themselves.
When my total dropped from $143 to $5 everyone was excited.
So this was totally sanctioned by a Walmart manager, I didn't "slip something by" a cashier who wasn't paying attention. I was open, honest, checked and double checked, and the register recognized and took the barcodes no problem.
I tried to take some pictures of my receipts, but they're pretty crappy, I don't know if it's because it's my $12 Walgreens camera, or I'm just so upset my hands are shaking, but if an Admin wants to see them I can email a .zip file of them. There's some personal information on them, so I'd rather not post them publicly, and I don't want to edit them AT ALL lest I be accused of lying again.
Thanks for sharing how that all worked for you. If they say manufacture coupon on them, they should be accepted anywhere. I don't think you did anything wrong I just think that if people try this they are likely to get a bad response. You are really lucky because most Walmarts are AWFUL about coupons

I wanted to add:
I just spoke to a lady from Catalina and was told:
A) They have no say in how an RR is used.
B) They therefore have no policy against using one from one store at another.
C) Whether or not an RR is accepted by a different store is completely up to the store.
D) The store WOULD be reimbursed by the manufacturer.
E) If I found a store who would do that "Great!"
