This has been an issue lately so I want to address this as it is our intent to be completely up front with everyone here. Please read and review the private message statement in our FAQ's http://thecouponcupboard.com/faq.php?faq=vb3_user_profile#faq_vb3_private_messa ges
specifically the first paragraph:
After you have confirmed your email and have made 5 posts, the Private Messaging (http://thecouponcupboard.com/private.php) system, will be available for you to use. We do randomly monitor private message activity for spam and counterfeits. The sending of links in private messages is strictly prohibited.With so many fakes and spam and phishing going around and board owners having the potential liability for some of this, steps like this are absolutely necessary for us. We could give a rats nest what your pms say but if you send a link, start pm'ing in an unusual manner, or put words in that we monitor for, it will raise our eyebrows. We do have a censor installed that picks up these types of things and draws our attention to investigate it further.
Again, please know that we could give a rats nest about 99% of the pm's here and we are bound by our privacy policies to you unless asked to reveal information to authorities. Private means the whole board does not have access to it. But on our board, and the reality is at every board whether they admit it or not, admins can read them.
