coupon newbie

hi all! I'm a 32 year old mom of two amazing little boys. I'm new to couponing (about two months now) but finding it quite addicting! I used to just walk into a store and pay whatever the price was! I shake my head when I think of all the money I threw away! My husband doesn't understand my new addiction, and my family members who do use coupons aren't as far into as I am, so it will be nice to talk to people who understand what I'm doing and why! My absolute favorite place to shop is Walgreens, after I found I was paying too much for stuff I didn't really want at CVS. Looking forward to meet and learn from you all!

i was wondering, when I started using coupons i went to computer first and read all about these great deals at cvs, but in reality, i'm finding i have to buy 25.00 worth of stuff i may not want to get EBs. i thought maybe something had changed just as i had started, did anyone else notice this?

Yup...deals are suckin' as compared to last year, so I can totally relate. If I remember correctly, we were at least getting 3-5 things free a month, and some didn't have a limit. Now they're sticklers and are making it very hard to search out deals. If you have time, though, they're still there. Just takes much more brain work.

Addicted?? So am I, especially when a manager in the grocery store that I shop tells me that when I purchase a buy 1 get one free I can use a manufactures coupon for each item including the free one. On top of that I can use a store coupon..well that got my goat and I am looking forward to hearing from you and others to see what you know and then learn from you.

Be sure you get their name. I am well known for "We so and so said it was okay" Insert Managers name lol They never question it!
